These are the four of many different ceramides and we believe in the sunflower oil that its the top left corner : C2 Ceramide.

What are ceramides?

  • Ceramides are Proteins.

  • Family of lipid molecules.

  • Formed by sphingosine and a fatty acid.

  • Can act as signaling molecules.

  • Not soulble to water

  • Located in membranes, which they contribute in raft forms (look at picture)

  • Shaped as key intermediates in the biosynthesis of all complex sphingolipids.

  • Related to phosphate,sphingosine,carbohydrate.
